THE POEM |
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God! held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"

 When Jesus is present in us all things go well, and nothing seems difficult; but when Jesus is absent, everything is hard. When Jesus does not speak to our heart, every consolation is worthless, but if he speaks only one word, we feel a great joy.

 Be with us Mary along the way, Guide every step we take, lead us to JESUS your loving son… come with us Mary Come... I hav always struggled with my identity as a woman. And I saw my mother also struggling to give us the best in life, good education, good standard of living even though she did not have much to give. As I was recollecting my old memories of my life I rememberd the day I was talking to Mother Mary by singing a hymn, be with us Mary along the way, Guide every step we take, lead us to JESUS your loving son…come with us Mary come...

THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT |

 The belief in the work of the Holy Spirit describes in the Old Testament as, “A shoot shall come out from the stump of Jesse, and a branch shall grow out of his roots. The spirit of the Lord shall rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord. He shall not judge by what his eyes see, or decide by what his ears hears, but with righteousness he shall judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth with the rod of his mouth and with the breadth of his lips, he shall kill the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt around his waist, and faithfulness the belt around his loins” (Isaiah. 11:1-5)
